The Vinod and Gail Sahney Scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is a current member of IISE in good standing and who is currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate industrial and systems engineering program in an accredited college or university (co-op is not considered full-time). Each potential recipient of the scholarship must exhibit academic excellence, including an overall grade point average of at least 3.40 on a scale of 4.0 as an undergraduate student. Each potential recipient of the scholarship also must demonstrate noteworthy contribution(s) to the development of the industrial and systems engineering profession through extracurricular activities, including but not limited to IISE chapter activities, community service and charitable activities. IISE shall have the discretion to determine the academic, employment and/or professional achievements that constitute such noteworthy contributions. IISE shall have the discretion to require potential recipients of the Vinod and Gail Sahney Scholarship to demonstrate such noteworthy contributions by completion and submission of an application to IISE by a certain date. The Vinod and Gail Sahney Scholarship will be used exclusively to fund the recipient’s IISE Annual Conference registration, travel, hotel accommodations, Honors & Awards participation, food and other reasonable expenses related to the IISE Annual Conference.
